19:00 - meeting of the professional jury

Wednesday 4.6.2025

8:30 - official opening of the competition, meeting of the jury and competitiors, explaining of the rules
9:00-21:00* - the scroll carving contest
17:00-21:00* - cultural programme, to be specified
- judging of the competing instruments by the public

Thursday 5.6.2025

Czech Museum of Music
9:00-10:00 - explaining of the judging system and the way the competing instruments and scrolls shall be assessed
10:00-18:00 - collective judging of the competing instruments and scrolls by the professional jury and the competitors
19.00-22:00 - HWI International informal evening and jam session

Friday 6.6.2025

Czech Museum of Music
9:00-14:00 - collective judging of the competing instruments and scrolls by the professional jury and the competitors
15:30 - dearture to HAMU with the violins
The Bohuslav Martinů Hall, HAMU
16:00-20:00* - I. round of the tone test - solo
- II. round of the tone test - with piano
- evening free

Saturday 7.6.2025

Czech Museum of Music
10:00-15:00* - professional lectures and discussions
- exhibition of the competing instruments and scrolls
- exhibition of other instruments
- possibility to visit the permanent exposition of the Czech Music Museum
17:00-19:00* - violin concert, to be specified
- judging of the competing instruments by the public
19:00-20:00* - gala prize giving ceremony
20:00-22:00 - EILA final banquet

Sunday 8.6.2025

9:00-12:00 - pick-up of the instruments and scrolls


During the whole event*

the precious violins A. Stradivari 1729 "Libon" and Joseph Guarneri del Gesú 1744 "Prince of Orange" from the SSHN** collection will be displayed in the Museum's lobby.
