Wednesday, 4. 6. 2025

8:30 - official opening of the competition, meeting of the jury and competitiors, explaining of the rules
9:00-21:00 - the scroll carving contest
from 15:00 - wine tasting of Moravian wine from Stanislav Mádl (vasvinar.cz)
16:00-17:30 - concert - Duo Teres, violin, guitar (www.duoteres.com)

Thursday, 5. 6. 2025

Czech Museum of Music
9:00-10:00 - explaining of the scoring system and judging process for instruments and scrolls
10:00-18:00 - collective judging of the instruments and scrolls by the professional jury and the competitors
20.00-23:00 - HWS specialty informal evening on a boat with live Gipsy music (participants, partners and guests only)
- meeting point: Dvořák Embankment, wharf at the Svatopluk Čech Bridge, dock n. 10 at 19:45!!!

Friday, 6. 6. 2025

Czech Museum of Music
9:00-14:00 - collective judging of the instruments and scrolls by the professional jury and the competitors
15:30 - dearture with the violins for HAMU

16:00-20:00 - I. round of the tone test - solo
- II. round of the tone test - with piano
- evening free

Saturday, 7. 6. 2025

Czech Museum of Music
10:00-15:00 - professional lectures and discussions (in English language)
- exhibition of the competing instruments and scrolls
- exhibition of further instruments
- opportunity to visit the permanent exposition of the Czech Museum of Music
- opportunity for evaluation of the competing instruments by the public
18:00-19:00 - concert - Jiří Vodička, violin (www.jirivodicka.cz)
19:00-20:00 - gala prize giving ceremony
20:00-22:00 - EILA final banquet (participants, partners and guests only)

Sunday, 8. 6. 2025

Czech Museum of Music
9:00-12:00 - return of the instruments and scrolls to the participants



The competition and its cultural programme just as the tone test is FREE OPEN to the public, except the area reserved for assessing the instruments and scrolls. Self the visitors have the opportunity to judge the competing violins. The winner will be decorated with the Audience award.


During the whole event The precious violins A. Stradivari 1729 "Libon" and Joseph Guarneri del Gesú 1744 "Prince of Orange" from the State Collection of Musical Instruments will be displayed in the atrium of the Czech Museum of Music.
